Walt Pich is the consummate beachcomber. He has beach-combed the Atlantic coast as a youth and hiked virtually every sandy beach from northern California to Bristol Bay on the Pacific side. Walt has led groups of beachcombers on the rugged outer coasts of British Columbia and Alaska.
Formerly an active member of the Outdoor Writers of America and NW Outdoor Writers Association he has written more than 500 magazine and newspaper articles on littoral topics; currently four of his books on beachcombing and glass balls remain in print.
Currently he works as an environmental consultant based in Seattle. A passionate collector of Oriental glass balls, Walt has made 36 research trips to China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan solving many of the mysteries surrounding the elusive glass ball.
